LVT Flooring

Luxury vinyl tile

LVT flooring — click & dryback, supplied & fitted

Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) gives you realistic wood and stone looks with everyday, water-resistant durability. Ben fits both click and dryback (glue-down) LVT across London, Essex and the M4.

Two ways to lay LVT

LVT is one of the most popular floors we fit — warm, quiet, water-resistant and tough enough for kitchens, hallways and family homes. The big choice is how it is laid: click (floating) or dryback (glued down).

Ben fits both, and the right one depends on your subfloor, the room and the look you’re after. He’ll also lay LVT in herringbone if you want a pattern. For sheet and cushioned vinyl, see our vinyl page.

Click vs dryback

Click

Click LVT (floating)

A rigid (often SPC) core that clicks together over underlay — fast to fit, forgiving of minor subfloor imperfections and easy to lift later.

Dryback

Dryback LVT (glue-down)

Thin tiles fully bonded to the subfloor — the most stable and seamless, ideal for large areas and underfloor heating, but needs a very flat base.

Subfloor

Subfloor matters

Dryback in particular needs a smooth, level base — see our floor levelling service.

LVT questions

Click or dryback LVT — which is better?

Click is quicker, forgiving and liftable; dryback is the most stable and seamless and suits large areas and underfloor heating but needs a flatter subfloor. Ben advises per room.

How much does LVT cost supplied and fitted?

It varies by product and subfloor preparation. As a guide, LVT supply-and-fit is mid-range between laminate and engineered wood — your home-visit quote will be exact.

Is LVT good over underfloor heating?

Yes — both click and dryback LVT work with underfloor heating within the manufacturer’s temperature limits.

Can you lay LVT in a herringbone pattern?

Yes — LVT herringbone is hard-wearing and water-resistant. See our herringbone & parquet page.
