Sheet vinyl & lino flooring, supplied & fitted

Sheet vinyl (sometimes called lino or cushioned vinyl) is one of the most practical floors you can choose — warm and soft underfoot, fully waterproof, and laid in large sheets with few or no joins, so there’s nowhere for water to get in. That makes it a favourite for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and family homes.

Today’s sheet vinyl looks far better than the lino of old, with convincing wood, stone and tile designs. Ben templates and fits it neatly, with sealed edges and clean thresholds for a hard-wearing, easy-clean finish.

Sheet vinyl or LVT?

Both are vinyl and both are water-resistant. Sheet vinyl is laid in one piece (best for full waterproofing and value), while LVT comes in planks or tiles for a more premium, realistic look. We’ll help you pick the right one for the room and budget.

Sheet vinyl questions

Is sheet vinyl waterproof?

Yes — laid in large sheets with few or no joins, it’s one of the most genuinely waterproof floors, ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

Is lino the same as sheet vinyl?

People use the words interchangeably. Modern ‘lino’ is usually cushioned sheet vinyl — warm, soft and waterproof, with realistic wood and tile designs.

What’s the difference between sheet vinyl and LVT?

Sheet vinyl is one continuous piece (best for waterproofing and value); LVT is planks or tiles for a more premium look. Both are easy-clean.

Do you supply and fit, or fit only?

Both — supply and fit, or fit sheet vinyl you’ve bought via our fit-only service.
